Do we Like to Party?

"We like to party
We like, we like to party
We like to party
We like, we like to party
We like to party
We like, we like to party
We like to party

I've got something to tell ya
I've got news for you
Gonna put some wheels in motion
Get ready 'cause we're coming through
Hey now, hey now, here's what I say now
Happiness is just around the corner
Hey now, hey now, here's what I say now
We'll be there for you

The Vengabus is coming
And everybody's jumping
New York to San Fransisco
An intercity disco
The wheels of steel are turning
And traffic lights are burning
So if you like to party
Get on and move your body"
The Vengaboys

DUKE

Good morning to you all. If you haven't heard yet the Duke Blue Devils beat Butler Buldogs(i think that's their mascot). Why me a person in NorCal would be excited about this??? Well it means that I, yes I and 3 others get to have dinner paid for by my job.

I am soooo excited. I get to pick anywhere i want and can take whomever i want. Who to pick and where to go?? well...you know that graduation is now 45 days away. So i am thinking to surprise my mom and dad with this dinner and possibly one other person. We shall see. Who that person is....sorry, can't tell!! :)

Where to go....the options are endless....The Buckeye, Izzy's, Cliffside Resturant in the city overlooking Ocean Beach, Left Bank in Larkspur...many other good places that I may not even know about.

I will tell once that day comes, but you all will just have to wait with me!

Blessings on your day,

What??? Are you Kidding me??

These two questions come together for some people during times of distress, excitement, shock.

For me, it's a bit of shock, excitement, concern. The statement out of sight out of mind comes to my thoughts as i share this new post.

Life issues/struggles that may not always be around you, and you forget about for a while becasue they are just not a part of your life and then one day these issues/struggles just hit you in the face! And for the next day or so that is the top issue you think about...ARGH! in exciting and non-exciting ways.

What????Are you Kidding ME??? I thought i was over that? I thought I had just moved on?? Guess what...i lied to myself.

I'm not going to go further now. If you have questions feel free to ask. I will totally be open and honest with you in person.

New Post

Here is a small yet hopefully satifying new post to some of those how follow me! :)

*sigh*

Do you ever think about how loyal you are to some people and then don't give the time of day to others.

Maybe i am putting these things in this category that shouldn't be together, but it is something i am thinking about.

ok...back to work

The MC

The MC

What am I doing here?
Is it where I?m to be?
Why do I fear?
When you are guiding me!

Questions of character and love come my way;
But with you beside me I know I can say:
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
So now I will go to the places you show
To love and listen because that?s all I know.

Meditation

Meditation: I was able to go to a Meditation time at a center in Mill Valley last night. No talking for an entire hour. The instructions were just that, let you mind go, but i couldn't. I found myself singing praise songs and praying to the Father the one who shows wisdom and compassion and wants us to do the same. No ...self revelation/realization. So now i must confess, the center was a buddhist center where each tuesday night people come for a time of meditation to focus on themself. To let their mind go to a no thinking state, but i find this hard to believe, we are a thinking people and we are never without thought, even in our dazing we are thinking about something whether it be real or fantasy. Any way, the value of silence is soooo necessary. I enjoied the time talking to the Creator of all things and listening to the beautiful melodies my heart was singing to Him.

So i posted the above on a facebook group i am a part of and here is a response from a good friend Mr. B:

I find myself feeling the same as you on this topic. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to persist to think about nothing. The fact that we dream (intense brain activity in the midst of unconsciousness) should lead us to see the difficulty of conscious non-thinking. I do love how your time in silence brought you to ... See Morepraise in the presence of God. Perhaps there is something in the spiritual realm to notice here. Maybe it is that when one has surrendered his/her self to God, that the Holy Spirit is always working to point that persons life back to the praise of the Father. And perhaps those who have not surrendered as such, and continue to worship their own spirit/self only have their own quiet and empty spirit to look to in times of silence.

So what now? My challenge is that i continue to take time, YES TIME, to meditate in silence on who God is and what He has done in my life. Meditation is a good thing, my prayer is that the people i met at this place will be able to have their eye's opened to the true God of the universe. I'm not sure if i will go back, but if so, i hope to share more of whose I am!

Thanks for reading you few who follow me! Have a wonderful thanksgiving and blessing to all!
