Bleh

SO this may be more of a rant than anything, but sometimes i just wish people would be a little more considerate of others. I know I am not always considerate and very selfish at times, but i feel/think that i try to put others first before myself.

I don't know.....

ok bye!

Um....yeah!

So I'm going to write in a new font or so i hope it's in a different font than the other posts I have posted so far!!

Something to think about.....When people ask you how's it going or how are you, are they just asking to be nice or are they truly wanting to spend 5-10 minutes actually listening to you about how your life is going?

I find it interesting when people come up to the window at my work and ask me that question. I start telling them how I am and then the next thing that happens to me is that they start talking about something else. Now, I'm not venting or anything, but find it interesting that not all but some do this to me. Is it just me or are there other people this happens to? OK, on to something else!

Yesterday I was able to hear a speaker, John Thomas, from Capetown South Africa. He by far is one of the most interesting and well spoken speakers I have heard this semester. Some of the things that are still resonating with what he said and how I'm trying to understand what the words he spoke mean for my life. First Lesson for me to grab hold of: Compassionate Action! This is who Jesus was! He was a compassionate actioner(i know not a real word)! He was able to all things will compassion and conviction to tell those who had fallen short of God's glory about the way to redemption. Question: Do I live my life that way? gonna have to say not so much! Yes, on some days more than others, but each and everyday nope!

Another thing i have to understand: "People listen to people who help them" meaning people who help people are more willing to listen to that person's story, etc because of the "love/attention" they have shown the person needing the help. Do I help people?

Last and most notably: You cannot separate the GOSPEL(the Word of GOD) from Compassionate Action!

What do you think people out in the blogosphere! Know that you are loved, and know that I am here to be a friend.

OK, probably should get back to work!! Have a wonderful/fantastic/amazing/beautiful weekend!

Car

So, on Saturday I was headed towards Okland. I was going to the Wal-Mart there to get someone to look at my car. On the way however my car decides to stop! I was able to pull it to the side, but unfortunately the side of the road was the Richmond Bridge!! It was a fascinating thing. The rush and power of being stranded on a bridge is something i don't wish for anyone, but at the same time it was soooo cool!

It got towed back to school due to some gracious friends who have TRIPLE A! Now i'm on day six without using a car and it's been good. Yes, I haven't done that much, but it has allowed me to think and read and do things i normally don't do because I'm out and about doing whatever I want.

Being confined, and i wouldn't really say confined, becasue i have ample availabilities to do what i need has been good for me. It has given me a chance to slow down, remember who has the ultimate power and that through all circumstance i am joyfull.

Yes, it's been crazy without having a car, but i've also been blessed by so many people offering rides and cars if i need them. I need to remember that there is always someone willing to help! Thanks God for showing me your mercy and grace and love from all my friends and family who care for me!

Day 6 and still no car, meeeh. People have seen it hopefully diagnosed the problem and this weekend hopefully will be able to atleast start working on the problem.

I'm off to work now. Hope all you out there in the www :) have a wonderful day!

I am excited on the one hand a very nervous. Please pray for this exciting time in my life as i seek the Lord's direction for the youth of Marin City.

God is so good to place this task before me. I hope i am faithful to complete my small part of the process.

REST

The song by Shane and Shane In You was what I woke to. Here is the chorus:

"In YouI find my rest.In YouI find my death. In YouI find my all and my emptiness,Somehow it all makes sense."

Very interesting point for me is that I only woke up to the part where it says "In you I find my rest." Am I resting in God's Word and on him daily?? I have to say no. I fail everyday. I struggle with this everyday. Resting in the Word and on Him for strength for the day that I know only He can give to me.

I am not a perfect person and I know that! Somehow it does make sense that God knows exactly what I need for the day and what I need to do is follow that without hesitation and with joy!

Hope you have a wonderful day and let me know how I can be a help to you.

About Time

Well....Since my last post in July i thought about writing something that has been on my mind, also to start in a sense journaling some things.

"because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews." This is from Esther 10 regarding Mordecai. I have been in the book and just finished it this morning. This is the last sentence of the book. He was held in high esteem becasue of the work he did for others.

Just imagine if we did this?? What would that even look like? It is interesting to me to see how God shapes his people. My this be our prayer that people see Christ in us by the work for good and the way we speak for the welfare of all people.

I am starting this venture to work for good and speak for the people. Hopefully my labor will be fruitful and kingdom shaping.

Today the song in which i started singing when i woke up this morning was a song by Ross King: GREAT IS YOUR LOVE. " I will praise you oh lord my God, with all of my heart, I will Glorify your name forever! Great is your, love to me, you have delivered me!"

How good and pleasant it is to start the day off with this and then read in His word how he delivered his people from annihilation from Haman.

Have a wonderful day, and my hope is that I will be able to write a new insight into my life tomorrow.
