New Post

Here is a small yet hopefully satifying new post to some of those how follow me! :)

*sigh*

Do you ever think about how loyal you are to some people and then don't give the time of day to others.

Maybe i am putting these things in this category that shouldn't be together, but it is something i am thinking about.

ok...back to work

The MC

The MC

What am I doing here?
Is it where I?m to be?
Why do I fear?
When you are guiding me!

Questions of character and love come my way;
But with you beside me I know I can say:
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
So now I will go to the places you show
To love and listen because that?s all I know.

Meditation

Meditation: I was able to go to a Meditation time at a center in Mill Valley last night. No talking for an entire hour. The instructions were just that, let you mind go, but i couldn't. I found myself singing praise songs and praying to the Father the one who shows wisdom and compassion and wants us to do the same. No ...self revelation/realization. So now i must confess, the center was a buddhist center where each tuesday night people come for a time of meditation to focus on themself. To let their mind go to a no thinking state, but i find this hard to believe, we are a thinking people and we are never without thought, even in our dazing we are thinking about something whether it be real or fantasy. Any way, the value of silence is soooo necessary. I enjoied the time talking to the Creator of all things and listening to the beautiful melodies my heart was singing to Him.

So i posted the above on a facebook group i am a part of and here is a response from a good friend Mr. B:

I find myself feeling the same as you on this topic. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to persist to think about nothing. The fact that we dream (intense brain activity in the midst of unconsciousness) should lead us to see the difficulty of conscious non-thinking. I do love how your time in silence brought you to ... See Morepraise in the presence of God. Perhaps there is something in the spiritual realm to notice here. Maybe it is that when one has surrendered his/her self to God, that the Holy Spirit is always working to point that persons life back to the praise of the Father. And perhaps those who have not surrendered as such, and continue to worship their own spirit/self only have their own quiet and empty spirit to look to in times of silence.

So what now? My challenge is that i continue to take time, YES TIME, to meditate in silence on who God is and what He has done in my life. Meditation is a good thing, my prayer is that the people i met at this place will be able to have their eye's opened to the true God of the universe. I'm not sure if i will go back, but if so, i hope to share more of whose I am!

Thanks for reading you few who follow me! Have a wonderful thanksgiving and blessing to all!

New Moon

Last night and this morning as thousands of happy Twilight fans across America sat in line and waited for midnight to come, I would like to let you know, i too was one of those giddly people waiting for the movie to start.

The theater in which i saw the movie had four showings 12:01, 12:05, 12:10, and12:15 of which all were full.

Without giving some of the movie away an interesting situation arose as we watched with giddy screams, as the first time Jacob took his shirt off (and oh those lovely muscles were nice and tight and for the most part every girls dream) all the oxygen left the room, in the midst of all this a love story enfolds.

This love as most love storys goes has tragedy, and when that tragedy came many in the theater had very damp eyes. The two girls sitting next to me, during these scenes, you could hear sobbing and grasping of air. Comical as it may seem, I too at times felt the well of emotion in the form of tears welling in my eyes.

As the researcher in me loves watching people I couldn't help but notice the joy and elation on girls and guys' faces when we were told to "follow me."
This makes me wonder back when Jesus was around and he came up to people and said these very same words if elation, joy, excitment, wonder, mystery was in the minds of those he called in this wall.

something to think on more.

Ta ta for now!! have a wonderful weekend!!

Que descanse en paz

Rest in Peace Cavi! She has been a great car, and now off to parts land! Just an update on my car!

She is dead :(. With all the men that looked at my car, and they all have said one thing or another that we have all check to make sure those things were working correctly, we have come to the understanding that Cavi just doesn't work anymore. So this week i have contacted via email a local pick n pull shop to see how much they are willing to pay for my dear car that has been with me now for 10 years!

With that, i am now in need of a new/used car. Please pray that one will come available at the price I am able to pay!

Thanks and hope you have an excellent day!

Bleh

SO this may be more of a rant than anything, but sometimes i just wish people would be a little more considerate of others. I know I am not always considerate and very selfish at times, but i feel/think that i try to put others first before myself.

I don't know.....

ok bye!

Um....yeah!

So I'm going to write in a new font or so i hope it's in a different font than the other posts I have posted so far!!

Something to think about.....When people ask you how's it going or how are you, are they just asking to be nice or are they truly wanting to spend 5-10 minutes actually listening to you about how your life is going?

I find it interesting when people come up to the window at my work and ask me that question. I start telling them how I am and then the next thing that happens to me is that they start talking about something else. Now, I'm not venting or anything, but find it interesting that not all but some do this to me. Is it just me or are there other people this happens to? OK, on to something else!

Yesterday I was able to hear a speaker, John Thomas, from Capetown South Africa. He by far is one of the most interesting and well spoken speakers I have heard this semester. Some of the things that are still resonating with what he said and how I'm trying to understand what the words he spoke mean for my life. First Lesson for me to grab hold of: Compassionate Action! This is who Jesus was! He was a compassionate actioner(i know not a real word)! He was able to all things will compassion and conviction to tell those who had fallen short of God's glory about the way to redemption. Question: Do I live my life that way? gonna have to say not so much! Yes, on some days more than others, but each and everyday nope!

Another thing i have to understand: "People listen to people who help them" meaning people who help people are more willing to listen to that person's story, etc because of the "love/attention" they have shown the person needing the help. Do I help people?

Last and most notably: You cannot separate the GOSPEL(the Word of GOD) from Compassionate Action!

What do you think people out in the blogosphere! Know that you are loved, and know that I am here to be a friend.

OK, probably should get back to work!! Have a wonderful/fantastic/amazing/beautiful weekend!
