Blessings

Unexpected blessings are all around. Today i was given one. Yesterday, I volunteered to keep children during a time when ladies of the seminary could go and meet together for a time of "REFUGE" from class, husbands, work. A time for women of the seminary either taking classes or not to come and be in community with each other.

Upon going to the place where I was to meet and greet children, none came. We waited for about 30 mins to make sure that we didn't leave to soon. We called Ms. Helen to let her know we still after 30 minutes didn't have any children. She told us we could leave and thanks for coming and waiting for the kids.

This was a paying gig and I did come to terms with myself that since we had no kids that we weren't going to get paid. This morning Ms. Helen handed me a petty cash slip for an amount that will help me get what i need for the rest of the week. I am so blessed and grateful for a God that provided this for me. He know my need and all I have to do is fully trust in the Lord.

yeah....there's that verse.....Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart." not just some of it, but all of it!! "and lean not on your own understanding." don't think that you know just exactly what you need and how you will always be able to get it! "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

just like the butterfly who feels like a new creature, and is. i want to say a big HALLELUJAH!! and THANK YOU LORD for your mighty works!

peace be on you today.

Traffic

Rainy days, sunny days, and even cold...traffic piles up!

When on the road going to and from work whenever there is an accident, a cop car pulling someone over...the traffic in those areas are bad...It's not that hte accident is the cause of the traffic being so slow...it's the people slowing down to look at the damage or see what is going on with the police officer pulling the person over.

Now i have to admit that somedays i am with all the other motorists on the road and am curious as to what is happening, but every single time....i mean really.

P.S. sorry for using the ... so many times today, it's wierd i know.

Oh. something to pray about for me. I have the opportunity to go to SEOUL Korea this summer. I am in prayer about it and checking financially to see if this is something i will be able to do. WIll let you know what that answer will be. the total cost of the trip is around $2000, plus the time off i would need of work, rent for housing and car and phone payments. It's looking like i won't be able to go, but pray with me for clarification.

Yes, I didn't blog Saturday or Sunday...It is hard to do so when you have no computer at home. Maybe this is the year i will be able to get one!

Happy Monday.

Milk and Honeybuns!!

42 more days until graduation!

This morning for breakfast, i had a nice cup of vitamin d milk and 2 honeybuns!! I love the combination. But for me i wished that i had some butter for the buns!! That's right i said it. My father of all people started this wantingness(is that a word) for butter with honeybuns and cinnamon rolls. If you haven't tried it you should!

Put the butter on the honeybun/cinnamon roll and then put in the microwave for roughly 20-25 seconds. You will then have the warm gooey breaded goodness with melted butter on top!

And this meal/dessert whatever you want to call it can not be eaten unless you have a cup of milk. the combination is out of control!

The nutritional value is less than great, but when you crave a little piece of home for breakfast and live on a tight budget!! Honeybuns and milk can work!!

Even as I write this, I am able to relive the taste and feeling I have when I eat this "meal"

Have a wonderful friday and a wonderful weekend. To start off my weekend i get to go with good friends and have a birthday dinner at Outback Steakhouse!! Happy Birthday Kelly!!! Can't wait for the amazing aussie fries, steak, coke, and dessert!!

Word to all!

Red Delicious

Georgia! I love this font. will it be the same on the page? hope so!

Red Delicious is the name of my sweet new ride. She is an '04 Hyundai Santa Fe. She is bright red and i love her. We made the trek out from the W.Falls this past christmas/new years break. I was fortunate to have my friend Lindsay be able to make the drive back to the bay area with me. We traveled through snow, at times we thought our life was in danger of spinning out of control, but it never happened and we are still here to tell you the story!

It is interesting to think that i am in love with an object that can't love me back....do i love objects that can love me back or do i choose to neglect them??

Take the Love Check....can i honestly that my life reflects these characteristics of love?

1 Corithinas 13
"Suppose I speak in the languages of human being and of angels. If i don't have love, I am only a loud gong or a noisy cymbal. Suppose i have the gift of prophecy. Suppose I can understand all the secret things of God and know everything about him. And suppose I have enough faith to move mountains. If I don't have love, I am nothing at all. Suppose i give everything I have to poor people. And suppose I give my body to be burned. If i don't have love, I get nothing at all.
Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not wand what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. It is not rude. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people's wrongs.
Love is not happy with evil. But it is full of joy when the truth is spoken. It always protects. It always tusts. It alway hopes. It never gives up.
LOVE NEVER FAILS."
I know that my life doesn't reflect all these characteristics, but i'm thankful for the grace that is given to me to be able to learn and change my life so that i can have this love in me for others.
Have a wonderful day!

Do we Like to Party?

"We like to party
We like, we like to party
We like to party
We like, we like to party
We like to party
We like, we like to party
We like to party

I've got something to tell ya
I've got news for you
Gonna put some wheels in motion
Get ready 'cause we're coming through
Hey now, hey now, here's what I say now
Happiness is just around the corner
Hey now, hey now, here's what I say now
We'll be there for you

The Vengabus is coming
And everybody's jumping
New York to San Fransisco
An intercity disco
The wheels of steel are turning
And traffic lights are burning
So if you like to party
Get on and move your body"
The Vengaboys
This song makes me want to dance!! The wave your arms in the air and jump around like you just don't care type of dancing!! I hope you also now have the really old dude from the six flags commercial in your imagination and are now dancing with him and me!!
Such a long day, but it is b-e-a-utiful!! I will be going for a walk this afternoon after work and am so looking forward to it! Spring is creeping in, but will this weather last long...only those who are skilled in meteorology and the like can tell us!!
i hope everyone out here in blog land has had a wonderful day whether you are sick, snowed in, rained out, or walkin on sunshine!!!
44 more days!! 43 more until mi padres come!!

DUKE

Good morning to you all. If you haven't heard yet the Duke Blue Devils beat Butler Buldogs(i think that's their mascot). Why me a person in NorCal would be excited about this??? Well it means that I, yes I and 3 others get to have dinner paid for by my job.

I am soooo excited. I get to pick anywhere i want and can take whomever i want. Who to pick and where to go?? well...you know that graduation is now 45 days away. So i am thinking to surprise my mom and dad with this dinner and possibly one other person. We shall see. Who that person is....sorry, can't tell!! :)

Where to go....the options are endless....The Buckeye, Izzy's, Cliffside Resturant in the city overlooking Ocean Beach, Left Bank in Larkspur...many other good places that I may not even know about.

I will tell once that day comes, but you all will just have to wait with me!

Blessings on your day,
